Fat is found in two places: in our food and on our bodies. The type that we eat eventually becomes the type we store in our bodies. Fats are your body's primary source of fuel and provide structural protection around organs. They are also important components of cell membranes.Fat cells are made up of compounds of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen that are glycerides of fatty acids. We gain weight when fat cells are enlarged with greasy or oily matter.
